Ingredients
- 6 cups vegan marshmallows
- 3 Tbsp vegan butter
- 3 tsp peppermint extract
- 2 drops blue food coloring
- 2 drops red food coloring
- 6 cups rice Krispie cereal
- cooking spray
- 2 tsp red sprinkles
Instructions
- Prepare the marshmallows cream:Melt the butter and marshmallows in a medium saucepot.
- Remove from heat and stir in the peppermint extract.
- Divide this mixture into three parts. Transfer each portion into a separate mixing bowl.
- Gently fold in red and blue color into each bowl and mix well till the color is even.
- Prepare the Krispies mixture:Mix 2 cups of cereal into each of the three bowls containing marshmallow cream.
- Spray an 9×13 baking pan with nonstick cooking spray
- First, transfer the blue Krispies mixture into the 1/3 of pan. Use a spatula to press it it down.
- Repeat with the white and red mixtures. Leave it to sit for an hour. After it has set completely, remove it from the pan. Use a sharp knife to cut it into square pieces.
- Decorate with sprinkles. Your red, white, and blue Rice Krispies treat is ready to serve. Enjoy!
