Homemade Dairy-Free Yogurt Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 cups raw cashews, soaked overnight
  • 2 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt
  • 1 1/2 cups cold filtered water
  • 3 probiotic capsules, (approximately 2 grams of probiotic powder, or ½ teaspoon – I used JustThrive capsules)

Instructions

  • Blend: Rinse soaked cashews and blend with vinegar, salt, and water until smooth (about 3 minutes).
  • Add Probiotics: Pour into a clean jar, stir in probiotic powder (use a wooden or silicone spoon).
  • Ferment: Cover with cheesecloth and let sit in a warm place for 24-48 hours.
  • Refrigerate: Stir, then chill for at least 4 hours to thicken.
  • Enjoy! Serve plain or with fruit, maple syrup, or granola.
